When to collect Honeysuckle
When is the best time to collect Honeysuckle? I have a number of them on my property.

I'd be interested to hear anyone's experience too. I have a big one that I am eyeballing for removal from a rather tight spot on one side, and I wont be able to get much in the way of roots on that side. However, the darn things grow everywhere and are like the Eveready Bunny. I'm guessing they can be uprooted without much worry, but that IS a guess.

Frankly, anytime. It's one of the few trees that I really don't care when I try to collect one. They will produce Roots very aggressively anytime.

I second that!! I've never had a problem taking them at any time of year and I've done it in all four seasons with good results.

I will add a third to this. I have found that keeping them heavily watered for the first month or two after collecting them in is beneficial regardless of the foliage mass. Shade them for the first 2 weeks and then into the sun. They should start producing new buds within 4-6 weeks.
