Another Bloomin' Satsuki

They seem to be flowering in sequence this year -- which is nice.

I have no azalea. And with these nice pics you are forcing me to buy one Sad
By the way, why is your satsuki flowering so lately Jim? Are you in a colder area?

Satsuki bloom later than most other azaleas. All of my garden azaleas (shrubs in the yard) finished blooming a month (or more) ago. My Kurume bonsai also bloomed quite a while ago.

May and June are typical months for Satsuki azalea to bloom around here.

And this year we most definitely were NOT in a colder area.

Thanks. The pot is now too small for the tree and will be replaced this year or next.
