Nice indeed...welcome to the IBC gallery! I saw a few trees while in Vietnam in 2007.

Nice tree.
How do you get the leaves to reduce?
Do you have a problems with yellowing?
Is this a single or double flowered variety?
We grow these in Florida.

A very nice little composition, but I can't figure out why the fingers look so odd. It almost looks like they have been photoshopped in.

Could it be because it looks like part of the little finger is in front of the pot?Treebeard wrote:A very nice little composition, but I can't figure out why the fingers look so odd. It almost looks like they have been photoshopped in.

it's hard to say whether this has been 'shopped or not. The wire seems to be in-scale in relation to the tree and fingers. If the composition were considerably larger, the large wire on the branch would be insanely thick. What has me perplexed is the distortion of the thumb. The pinky isn't a problem - depending on the lighting of course. The shadows are also believable, as are the scale of the texture of the moss and rock.
I'm leaning towards some sort of perspective problem with the camera's lens due to subject proximity rather than being convinced of this being photoshopped. But that's *leaning*, not *convinced*. ;-)
Still wonderful!
