Hi all friends .

Pretty yamadori Pine has a very interesting strain. Unfortunately, at the bottom of a small defect. (Grew between the stones.) In November 2009 I decided to remedy some defect. Everything succeeded, the work took two hours. The trunk is wider by two cm.

That's gonna be a very good tree Pavel!
Could you please explain a bit about this technique? How long are the wedges kept on the tree? What happens to the wound? Does it seal or will it turn into a hollow?

Hi Pola.

Original wedges had been removed. Gap holds, but for sure I have planted a small wedge. Meanwhile the gap. After some time the morning break. Not using any paste on healing. Pine resin is the same cave.
The gap has been created with regard to future potential of the upper side. Not be seen directly, but extends strain. This view provides a wide angle choice on the upper side of the styling.
As the weather improves, give photo here. (rain and rain Crying or Very sad )

Pavel,
Any more photos? This is interesting. I have a scots pine that has exactly the same problem. Although it does not possess the potential of yous, it will be a fun technique to attempt. How long after this technique will you wait to style the tree? How long before this work was the tree repotted?

Thanks,
Neil

Hi Neil.

Pines were collected in spring 2008. Will probably shape up over the winter. Unfortunately, I have more photos. New only from this spring.

Nice work. I did a similar technique years ago to a shohin juniper but I made the opening into a shari and placed a extra piece of driftwood in the opening to fill the hole and to hold the gap open.

Hi all friends.

Pines 2010, prospered very well. At the end of the summer I was using wooden sticks, picked up the top of the tree.

On Saturday, I started working first styling Pines. I tried to create a dynamic composition, as it indicates the character of the trunk and the shape of some branches.
Today I finished the job. So far I have left several branches and composition may cause a bit heavy. In the spring when growth is working to reduce some of the branches.

Hi Machiel

Thank you for your nice coment and question. Very Happy
Yes, you're right, the picture is the weight of the tree to the left. But in reality I'm happy. In the future, will be removed a few branches at the top right. It adds a space in a tree on the right and the weight will improve. Also, needles are too long, meanwhile, will all be addressed when the next styling. Very Happy

Hi Pavel,

Very very good job. Do you have pics of the other positions before/after work?
Because I'm a beginner and I want to know which branche is in witch position to make this tree a model for one of mine.
Greatings.
Stéphane.

Hi all
Today I worked restyling Pine. I removed several small branches and a thick branch. I think the benefit reduction tree branches. The composition is a step higher quality constructed.

Hello Pavel. Great design as usual but I have some issues with some of the branches. Unnatural twists to get the foliage more compact rather than preparing, pruning and feeding to promote back budding? Sylvestris bud back very well with these techniques. I love your work and your spirit but sometimes I see a rush towards the end result? Please don't take this the wrong way.

Hi Will, thanks for nice replies.
Definitely do not take it badly. Very Happy
If you think the left lower branch, twist, and it remains the intention. The branch had a similar character from the beginning and I liked it. Very Happy
I think the tree is no chaos. Tomorrow I try to take pictures of other views. Very Happy

hi pavel,
thanks for the pictures - i think lots of new buds will form on the branches as they all see the sunlight very well.

i know nearly all the trees you show belong to one customer - does he have you style them ready to be sold, or does he just want a large collection of scotts pines?

thanks Marcus

Hi Marcus
Yes, some trees belonging to clients. Some are mine. This tree is mine. Currently I have reduced the number. For my collection I have about 35 trees. Some still waiting for shaping. Very Happy
